The class will begin by preparing a pound cake that will be utilized to make a beautiful Red, White and Blue Trifle later in the class. Learning, along the way, proper pan preparation, measuring techniques, as well as how to properly combine ingredients for baking and why. Secondly, the class will learn to prepare bakery worthy blueberry muffins from their home kitchens. The demonstration will focus on much of the same as the pound cake yet will incorporate some chemistry knowledge on why we use certain ingredients. Finally, we will prepare the Trifle. Which will incorporate how to make your own delicious blueberry sauce from scratch that can be used on desserts, ice cream, pancakes and waffles. Each person will make and assemble their own mini trifle as well as leave with recipes everything and of course a blueberry muffin.
