Join Margaret Boyle for a hands-on workshop with seasonal salsas, soup & sweets. We will make tomatillo salsa, chipotle matzah ball soup, and lime macaroons. Learn recipes and stories from her 2024 cookbook Sabor Judío: the Jewish-Mexican Cookbook (co-author with Ilan Stavans, UNC Press) and gain more confidence in the kitchen.

Margaret Boyle is director of Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies at Bowdoin College and associate professor of Romance Languages and Literatures. A Jewish-Mexican-American from Los Angeles, her teaching and research focuses on Hispanic women's literary and cultural history, and health humanities, including medical, spiritual and food cultures. Boyle founded and directs Multilingual Mainers, an elementary world languages and cultures program, and lives in Brunswick with her family.
